AeroControl designs, builds, and runs nonlinear simulations to model and analyze complex dynamic systems and to test flight control code prior to porting to an embedded computer. Our simulation capabilities include:

  • Developing equations of motion for aerospace and other vehicles
    • Unmanned and manned air vehicles, including rigid-body motion and sensor and actuator dynamics
    • Missiles, including flexible-body modes and terminal guidance dynamics
    • Rockets, including rigid and flexible body modes, fuel slosh, and “tail-wags-dog” dynamics
    • Satellites, including rigid and flexible modes, momentum wheels, thrusters, torque rods
  • Building and running realtime and non-realtime simulations
  • Hardware-in-the-loop simulations
